Linhó has no station — Sintra and Portela de Sintra stations are about 10 minutes' drive. The A16 passes close by, linking to the A5 for Cascais and Lisbon and to the IC19. Everyday shopping and services are a short drive away in Sintra town and Cascais; the private CUF Sintra hospital and the public Hospital de Sintra (opened 2025) are a short drive.

Education
CAISL (Rua António dos Reis) and TASIS Portugal (Alameda do Linhó) are both in Linhó, teaching in English from Pre-K to Grade 12. State primary schooling is local through EB N.º 1 do Linhó (Monte da Lua school group), and the Deutsche Schule Lissabon has a kindergarten and primary campus in Estoril, about 15 minutes away.

Both are in Linhó: CAISL at Rua António dos Reis and TASIS Portugal at Alameda do Linhó, in the former Beloura shopping centre on the edge of Quinta da Beloura. They are a few minutes apart by car.
The Serra above Linhó and the Penha Longa estate lie within the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, where building rules are strict. Whether a particular plot is inside the park, and what can be built on it, must be checked in the planning documents for that property.
In normal traffic Cascais is about 15 minutes away and central Lisbon and the airport about 30 minutes, via the A16 with the A5 or IC19. Sintra's historic centre is about 10 minutes by car.
