For families, São Pedro wins on logistics: Sintra station is within walking distance, with trains to Lisboa Rossio in about 40 minutes, and CAISL and TASIS Portugal in Linhó are a short drive away. From Colares there is no railway — you drive to Sintra station or to the schools, about 20 minutes — but Lisbon by car is slightly quicker via the IC19.
